And, of course, one of the era’s most watched TV sitcoms, Punky Brewster!! She was your fictional orphan character breathe into life by then child actress, Soleil Moon Frye. The show was so hugely accepted that it elevated Frye into a pop culture icon for that period.
Frye enjoyed a career extension in the nineties via movies like The Liar’s Club (1993), Piranha (1995) and Wild Horses (1998). Although no longer as popular as she was before, Frye still managed to keep her star shining brightly in the Hollywood limelight. Her breast-reduction surgery in 1993 landed her on the cover of People magazine, and in 2000, was cast as Roxie King in the TV series Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.
She married producer Jason Goldberg in October of 1998 and gave him a daughter named Poet Sienna Rose Goldberg in August of 2005.
