Mom and Popcorn Company was put up by Tim and Kim Loyd. Theirs is one inspiring story:
About three years ago, Kim met a grim vehicular mishap which almost took her life. For eight months she was bedridden. Tim had to quit his job to take care of her. About 4 months after, the couple decided to pursue their dreams despite of the tragedy. They sold their house and used the money to put up Mom and Popcorn Company in downtown McKinney.
With Mom and Popcorn Company, the Loyds helped in the improvement of McKinney community, as through the years Kim actively involved herself in the promotion of the Historic District .
